Almost A Hero hails from the furthest tip of the Dark Continent known to its inhabitants as the Republic of South Africa (and to the rest of world, as one of the primary sources of gold, coal, Nelson Mandelas and AIDS), and was born on 11 May, 1982.
Almost A Hero uses a FujiFilm FinePix S6500 camera for all of his photos, and a Rectron keyboard for the superior tappage it provides. A pen, notebook and electronic voice recorder are also used, albeit shockingly, when cut off from the wonders of civilised technology.
Almost A Hero’s credentials include the ability to click the joints of his large toes and to sound like an utter dork while in the third-person. His less impressive qualification is a diploma in journalism. He has a fondness for urban ruins, short stories, writing (duh) and popular culture. He is also enthralled – reluctantly – by anime, games, manga, light novels and figurines.
